  • Not happy with Buzztv

I just need to complain a little about BuzzTV. Early last year, I was looking to buy a box. You guys kept raving about Buzzbox and I really appreciated the recommendation. I purchased 2 XRS4000's. One for my brolaw and one for me. Well, we've been less than pleased with them. Mine, disconnects from wifi every night. When I turn it on the next day, I have to re-start it in order to get wifi to re-connect. It's the only way it works. Aside from that, the app Buzztv5 (or whatever it's called. the native app), is constantly restarting itself because of a crash. On his box, he doesn't get the wifi issue, but he does get butzztv crashes l like I do. But worse than that, it's become almost unusable. He'll be watching a channel and then it'll say it's connecting as if it was the start of the day. Sometimes, that channel will come back up. Sometimes not. So all throughout this time, friends have come to me so I can hook up iptv on their devices. They've brought me firesticks and amazon android boxes. I was able to hang on to a firestick and two different amlogic-based boxes for several days each. All performed better than our buzztv boxes and at half the price or less.. I used Smarters and Tv mate on them. Smarters is good. TVMate is better. Menu wise, I really like that in Tvmate, I can just click left during watching channels, if I want to easily find another channel, and go another time left if I want to switch categories. Buzztv makes those same sequences 2 steps longer. This last bit here is a very minor complaint. But overall, I'm not happy with Buzztv and I will be either trying one of these cheap android boxes or maybe pay a bit more for the Nvidia Shield tube-looking thing. In case you are wondering, I've reset our boxes plenty of times, we're on buzz 5 update, I've tried changing native players back and forth, I've done tons of iptv resets and portal changes. I tried everything and am not looking for advice. I just needed to vent. They work, but they just don't work well. Interestingly enough, I sort of remember when we were both still on buzz 4, and I believe that they ran better then.

Press OK button and channel list comes up.Press left arrow button and categories come up.
That`s 2 steps so how is it 2 steps longer?
Also I just press the category button on remote so that's only 1 step.

My bad. It's 1 step longer. Also, since the beginning I've been using the ARQ100 remote for the air mouse function. I forgot that the original control had the categories button. Nice feature. Unfortunately, I don't have that remote handy.

Still, everything else I've mentioned is enough to move on.
