No sound on Potato

I followed the video tutorial for installing Potato on Kodi 17 and everything is working except I have the red muted sound emblem on my Samsung smart tv now and no sound. I have sound just fine on the TV and my android TV box with other programs (not on Kodi) but no sound on Potato using IPTV simple client and the guide will not populate......loads but all say no info available. I just found the post on modifying the m3u playlist and will do that but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it. Would appreciate help as I am totally new and unfamiliar with IPTV. Thanks.

Well, sounds like you dove into the deep end.
After reading your post twice, I assume you have kodi/potato on an external Android box.
Only thing I can suggest is press your mute for both TV & STB.

Thanks, Kens......already tried that first thing and no go. The symbol is different than the normal one for my TV. I think I am going to just delete the whole mess and start over. Wish me luck!!!

I feel so stupid. Finally remembered that I
had already installed a repo on Kodi so I disabled then removed it and the sound worked fine. This was weeks ago but thought it might be helpful to post my discovery just in case someone else does the same thing.

I had the same problem with sound icon in right corner and I finally figured it out. It’s the F8 button on your remote pad for the smart box.
