It would be nice if the users that have no issues would list their ISP's then maybe some one that has the ability can take their box to an ISP that is reported to be not throttling and see it fixes the problem
If they put it on bridge mode, the router should be disabled. If the router is disabled, then you can make changes to the dns server in the router you bought. Use googles dns and see if it makes any difference

You mean that you are getting the lives channel, but can‘t play VOD, then you problems is the player , the app o box, that you are using, because when isp block you, not live channel will show

I am using a MAG254 with no player, I believe the VOD is an external source that ISP's have identified and throttled

Can play most of the VODs here using MAG254 with no issues. ISP is Charter Spectrum

I think you should bring your STB to one of your buddy that has different ISP and test there.

I wish I could but don't have anyone that I know here that has a different ISP, If some one else has the ability to do so, that would be great to verify if the throttling is the reason for freezing , also a list of ISP's that have throttling would help others to avoid them, as far as I know they are Comcast, Shaw & Telus
