Recommended STB

I'm looking to buy a mid-priced 4k STB with PVR function to compliment the Buzz that I already have. I know some folks test several STB's. Could someone recommend an alternate to Buzz please.

I would have to agree. That A Buzz box is the best box to buy.

Buzz is great but it has a problem recording a buffering stream. This may not matter to some, but it matters to me.

buffering is server related not the buzz. recording can be intrupted because of stream from server so its not the buzz issue.

Box should continue to record whatever is in the stream.

Gas powers the engine, but the stream does not power the box. If I set a VCR to record for 2 hours, it records for 2 hours whether there's a picture or not. If I set my Buzz for 2 hours, I want it to record for 2 hours regardless.

If it buffers it will record the buffer.If it buffers or stops briefly to change to a different source the recording will stop.
These boxes can't be compared to a VCR.
