    Mag 254 turns on but image freezes

    My mag 254 has worked properly for 2 years with out a problem but now when I first turn my tv on and mag I get the image with all channels on my tv and as I press the remote it freezes. It’s done that now for a week or two. So I have to unplug it and reboot than it works fine. Of course it will freeze again next time I turn thing on.

    I have the same exact situation, Mag 254 years of good service now my box freezes every day and half the channels freeze, loop or dont work.

    Is this due to the upgrade?

      I doubt its due to the upgrade. Sounds more like a hardware problem. Might be time to think about getting different box. JMO

            I think it's the upgrade. Friend had the same problem. Froze every morning after upgrade, had to power off and back on and everything was ok until next morning and same thing all over. Has 4 mag 254's and 3 of the 4 did this. Changed ports on those 3 and everything's been okay since. try changing ports.

              If it was the upgrade, don't you think all of the mags would have an issue? And not 3 of 4?

                It happens in the morning,sounds like they are tired.They are all old and tired.lol

                  different port. Not all ports were affected that is why changing the port on the 3 mags having the problem corrected the problem.
