    We haven't used our MAG254 for a year and a half now and just got a new subscription and donation #. When we plug it in to use, we get the message "unsupported signal, please check device output". We used the same TV, HDMI cable and internet connection with another android box, no problem, and just changed the connections over to the MAG box. Connections work, just need to find out what this message means and how to get box to work to log in & set up! Thank you....

    Did you change the MAC in the Donation Checker for the android box to the Mag?

      Your resolution most likely needs to be changed on the mag. You can use the bios menu on the mag to change the resolution or factory default the device. You can also use the a/v cables that come with the mag and use those instead of the HDMI connection and see if the picture come in. If the picture comes in with the a/v cables, you can adjust the resolution and switch back to the HDMI input on the tv and see what happens.

        Making progress, thank you. I changed MAC address but now I am trying to change the portal URL to p1 on the system and it won't allow me to change on the tv. It keeps coming up with the old portal #2 and according to my donation email I need to be on p1. I've reset numerous times but can't seem to get to p1. I also get a message probably because I am not on the right portal that "STB is blocked, contact provider". We then unplug and start again but how do I change in the portal settings to portal 1?

          You should be able to change the portal url in the settings of the mag, or you can try to change the portal using the donation checker.

            We finally got it all fixed, thanks for your replies! Going to do some searches now on getting a better picture, kind of grainy, not super clear. Looks like we can't change the time too from 24 to 12-hour format. Little things!

                Picture is going to be what it is with a mag. Many have updated to a T1 or a Buzz box for that very reason.
