MAG 254 not turning on... No picture, nothing

Ok. I followed all the steps. I entered my network and password which box accepted. However I still get the same thing:

Both boxes work on ethernet connection only.... Wireless seems not to engage

Are you doing this with the Ethernet cable unplugged?I know i asked you but i don't think you answered.

Also are you able to see avial wifi connections?

Yes, I had the ethernet wire both plugged and unplugged. If I unplug it the box does nothing... It just says wirelss not connected and link down, etc.

Once I plug the ethernet wire I get TV (of course) and I am able to see the wifi settings which still state link down. It dows not list IP address as well.

I also tried it at another house w different router and still nothing.

I tried the "press the ... with 3 line button" and no setting was off.

I have had problems with certain ones also(they would work and then not work) .I'm wondering if it has something to do with firmware.(maybe they shortened the driver list for the adapters. What firmware is on the boxes?It's that or there is something wrong with the adapter.I can't see it being 2 boxes messed up.

I had 3 Wireless adapters before and sometime they would stop working and I had to buy the aura hd and I haven't had any problems with it since.

I have seen this problem myself.But the solution for me was to use a router with ddwrt on it and problem was solved and my mag works just like it would when it's plugged in by wire.
