mag254 epg not loading help

I remember that at some point we could do the following.

press ok (gets you to the screen which channels on the left, preview on the right with detailed show guide at the bottom)
then press i to get the full guide.

so this is where it doesn't work for me.

Alternatively I tired just pressing the guide button on remote

It just shows the channels (now on the left shows channels numbers 0 to 9) when before it had the real channel numbers.

So basicallly the guide doesn't populate.

I tired with another provider and the same thing so I think it has to do with the mag itself

I have a mag254w2 and have tried loading previous software but that didn't help

Any idea?

This problem is unsolvable even with a firmware upgrade and BIOS reset. It occurs with multiple providers and is not an NFPS issue.

To the rare number of MAG254 users who are experiencing this, you will have to buy another box.


Unless someone else has any ideas .......... ?

I think you had the answer buy another box.Maybe there is just so much they can do with the little memory they have who knows.I never rely on the guide anyways it's always easier to take a look online to see what is on.Takes a few mins but at least you know it's right.
