  • Disappearing channels

I have a XRS4000 that is giving me fits loading and dropping channels. When everything is working properly, arbitrary channels will stop working, and then spinning wheel will be displayed. Sometimes the channels will come back after a while - other times, they are lost for a day. Very seldom are the same channels affected - this happens all over the dial. Once they are dropped, nothing I do will get them back. Rebooting doesn't help. This has been going on now for a couple of months. I have even had consecutive channels such as 120 and 121 both suffer the same thing, at the same time, and after a reboot, one or the other will come back, but not both.
Very disappointing from a well rated, expensive box.
Has anyone else seen or heard of this?

Thanks. My problem seems to be non discriminatory. It's all over the map. New channels, old channels, moved channels - it seems to want to pick on them all. I did notice the new and moved channels though.

one thing that should be done is a full reboot instead of just powering off into standby
Then moved channels are loaded properly

What I do is hold down the power button until I see three options. Power Off, Restart or Screen shot. I hit the Restart button to do a Reboot. The funny thing is that most times the box just powers off then right back on. It doesn't go through the aqua - blue LED cycle.
