If I add I was not thrilled by Manchester by the Sea and disliked Moonlight, you will think I'm a bad public. Just too Hollywoodian for me.... I watched some French videos on demand I enjoyed and liked Allied..

Lion was a very good option to watch at the movie theater. What about Live by night? Have you seen it?

PS.- I haven't watched LA LA LAND, but consider me a hater just by that ridiculous title that movie has, no need to watch such piece of garbage I guess.

yes, you summarized my opinion quite well! I haven't seen live by night. I rely a lot om what is posted as movies here, and am not able to see which ones are worth it until an hour of boredom... I'll watch Lion for sure.
