  • stb emu pro problem

I just bought a Nvidia Shield android box and in it I installed STB EMU PRO ,I entered the mac address and IP address supplied by NFPS as required ,but when I try to use the app ,it an error sign comes up saying the IP address isn't good and to change it to a proper one..I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app a number of times in case there was a problem with the download to no avail. I have used this whole set-up and IP address on other android boxes without a problem..If anyone has had this problem with an Nvidia Shield and found a way around this problem. I would sure like to know about it. --- thanks---- Fred

You said the error reads that theres an error with your ip address? The server url is not the ip address tho? What is the exact error you get?

Try using the full url posted in post 4. add this to the end~~~ /c/html.index If that doesnt work, why not just set up IPTVXtra with kodi.

Yes sir ,I did do that as you suggested .but it wouldn't except that ether. I have to wonder if it's Nvidia regecting it or this version of stbemu pro,(1.1.7 .)The other android boxes that are working with stbemu pro are older versions( 1.1.2) ----- thanks again Grim Reaper and kens

Problem solved ! When entering a period in the URL the Nvidia Sheild (possibly other android boxes) leaves a space before the period that should not be there (no space bar used) so you have to go back and delete that blank space out of there. I found this out on You Tube. Works good now. ---Fred

I had two Nvidia Shield boxes and I had the same problem with respect to the space. I have had several other android boxes and none produced a space to thwart the IP address. I also recall the Shield was compatible with some of the apps on Google Playstore and when they "pushed" new firmware to the boxes, there were some changes. Some apps were no longer compatible and many of the options in Settings were no longer accessible. This type of remote management via pushing new firmware with unknown time and results were the reasons I decided to move on to a different android box. I am not a gamer so that aspect of the Shield was never considered when it came to keeping the box but for those that are, its a quality box that may suite your interests.
