  • IPTV not working, when connected via Ethernet (WiFI works)

    I’ve got a Sony 65 inch 4K TV from 2020.
I can run IPTV on it, if I’m connected via WiFi.
But if I connect the TV to the Ethernet, it won’t work.
I’ve tried several apps XCIPTV, Perfect Player and TiviMate.
I’ve got two different services and it’s the same issue with both services, if I’m connected via Ethernet. No issues if it’s connected via WiFi.
If connected via Ethernet, I can still use Netflix and YouTube with no issues, just not IPTV.
I’ve also tried two different ISP’s. Same issue.

          Nope, still same problem.

I’ve factory reset the TV and ensured WiFi isn’t on.
Again, I can use all other apps (Netflix and YouTube), when hardwired. Just not IPTV apps.

I would say try different tv with different brand and see if that works. if it does then its the brand you have has issue. if not then must be app related.

Weird thing is that it’s all the IPTV apps, which are behaving the same way. Both TiviMate, Perfect Player and XCIPTV.
I’m running the same setup (on a Sony TV as well, just a bit smaller) up at the mother in laws. Works fine there.
