  • Movies not load - using Smart-STB app in LG Smart TV

    I am using Smart-STB (smart-stb.net) app in a LG Smart TV.
    This app works like to the Box MAG informir, STB Emu for Android, etc. The IPTV Channels in TV option is working perfectly but when I try to use the VideoClub option, no movie is loaded, clicking on any movie does not load or play the movie, if I wait a little and press the forward key I can see the amount playing loaded but this number is in zero, does not load any movie.

    I would like someone to help me with this problem, everything works fine except the movies and I would like to know if there is any setup to do or some reason why no movie is played.

    I will try to explain the problem,

    first, Am I using a stalker portal URL?, the app provider ask me that.

    I tried using m3u list changing the MAC Address, in both case (using URL togeher MAC address/ list m3u) the TV channels and VOD is loaded, I can see the complete list of TV Channels and VOD. The TV channels can played and works perfectly, the issue is with the VOD, when I select any VOD, the movie not load, not hapen anythink, just a black screen, no sound, no video, no anithing, if I go back, I can see the VOD list again but I can not playing any VOD.

    Any idea about this?

      I may not be right but i don't think you can get vod with what you are using.Now if you have kodi i don't see a reason to have it anyways.Seems smart tv's are not that smart.

    I cant seem to get them to work on the EMU as well

      I had the same issue, Today I wrote to Smart STB support the reply me back with that
      "We see "unauthrised request" errors in the error log for your TV. We saw the same/similar errors with few other providers either giving out this or MPEG-TS stream with an message It seems the links by your provider are Temporary links tied to the IP address. Could you please ask your provider to process/parse the IP inside X-Forwarded-For / X-Real-IP that we send out or open port 88 (Apache backend) - this can solve the problem. Please note that the Smart STB app is seen as "proxy" with strict security settings while your TV accesses the Media URL directly and thus providing different IP and causing "Unauthorised" errors like this. More info for the Service Provider:

      If you are the Service Provider and want your clients to watch from the Smart STB app on their smart TV's then please read on. If you have setup your Portal as per the official instructions from Infomir http://wiki.infomir.eu/doku.php/en:s..._and_configure

      Then you only need to open port 88 on your server to allow the Smart STB app to work with all TV streams, Timeshift and VOD properly. If you use custom Portal Solution (for example bundled with Xtream Codes) then you need to read the X-Forwarded-For or X-Real-IP data that all TV's using the app are sending out. If you use other custom solution please make sure that you haven't disabled access for third party devices - check the config for "disable_third_party_devices" - it must be set to "false".         for those with lg tvs using the smart stb app, the only thing working at this moment is the live channels, VIDEO ON DEMAND (A K A VIDEO CLUB) IS NOT WORKING ON LG TVS , its working good on Samsung tvs 100%

          UPDATE ON LG TVs manufacture from 2013 to present, I've also researched international websites/chats, I've found it's a recurring issue. The suggested fix will not work unless the provider IKS, implements it on everyone's behalf. In my opinion, it will not happen for a potential of reasons, perhaps reducing their security levels or allowing a 3rd party to implement a change. I don't have enough experience to determine the true nature of the inaction. I really hope someone from the organization takes heed to make the changes, but in the meantime, seems like any newer LG model will need to satisfy with the live channels which thus far work fine. That or buy Samsung.
