  • Mac Address Could not be Updated

Why am i getting this message when i try to change my mac address? "Mac Address Could not be Updated"

I switched from Ethernet to Wireless internet and its different Mac's so i need to change it, how can i do this?

It is not necessary to change the MAC address when switching from hardwired to wireless. It is the MAC address of the Ethernet on the MAG that is used. AS well the MAC address has to conform to the informir prefix of 00:1A:79.

I don't believe that is correct islandtv unless they have recently changed the procedure.

First of all sicario is correct he should not have to update the mac if he is going from wired to wireless.

If he is changing from one receiver to another or one mac address to a different one he would need to associate his donation with the new mac address. He should use the donation search form link at the top of the forum page and enter in his order number and donation number and after he gets the results he should click on change mac address when he gets the next form it is or use to be better if he first enters all 0's into the mac address field 00:00:00:00:00:00 and save that then he should open the form again with his order # and donation # and click on change mac again and now he should enter the mac address of the box he wants to use and save it. If he has any problems he should then do an iptv reset.

If one changes from one receiver or device to another then they will have to do the above each time they switch where the unit they are using has a different mac address.

Inputting all 0's does not need to be done. You can simply just click on change mac and input the mac you want linked.

If anything, you should just delete the mac and leave blank, save and exit out.
