New buzzbox 4000

Hi Just purchased a buzzbox from Amazon.
no luck with .
after the initial start set up of time,resolution ,WiFi etc. It stopped and prompted unauthorized use. Shut down.
did I just buy a bum box and should try another?

Using the Remote press the on and off button while it in the file download..
The box will Factory Reset its self
Leave on the homepage until it asks for a reboot
then the new file will load!! (3mins or so)

do it on your own risk.

Or i have read DU and NBS have said to contact buzz with the mac so they can add it.

"Once it started to download firmware just hold power button for few seconds and new small window will popup with 2 options (shut down, or reboot). Just leave this window open and let it download the software up to 100%. As soon it hit 100% box will ask for factory reset and then it will install new firmware automatically and you will be good to go after restart.
So basically just hold and release power button until shut down and reboot window pops up while firmware is being download."

Hi.
Got another xr4000. Got connected to server but got circle of death while it tried to load the channel list .
would not load.
can anyone help?
also bought a buzzbox 3000 and hooked it up a few days ago. Works like a dream. Great box.

The MAC# for the XPL 4000 is listed as "Server ID" ..... the MAC# that shows in the settings isn't the one to use. The first 3 numbers of the MAC# should be 00:1A:79

Hi.
Just to follow up.
Got my XPL 4000 working. It took a number of reboots that slowly overcame freezing and channel/epg loading but seems to be working "pretty good " at this point.
picture is good, but audio not as good as the 3000.
One of the issues i found is that on start up, it sometimes has lost the wifi connection and has to be reconnected. Might just go wired and see if it improves performance.
Also, don't want to get in an argument, but I used the MAC number provided, that started D0:79::....and was connected, I know the Server id # that started with 00:79:...was the logical choice,
but the MAC # stuck.
