  • Initial questions on installing BUZZ XRS 4000

I have been using a Mag 254 receiver box , but upon advice of those on this forum, just purchased a new BUZZ XRS 4000 box. Upon initial steps in setting up, the BUZZ appears to be faster and more responsive than the Mag. I am initially pleased , but in setting up, however, I have some initial challenges. Questions :

Is there a screen that will appear when the Buzz is booted up that will show the Mac # of the box? If so, how can I reach it?

Must a secret child protection # be inserted to prevent children from reach adult material?
And also, is there a step by step guide on how to access an IPTV Subscriber service on an IPTV Box after a new box is initially booted up?

    Regards, Aaron

Mac address should be written under the box and starts with 00:1A:79.....
from home screen if you launch buzz tv app or press live tv on remote it should open up buzz tv app and Mac should be on top right corner.
you can lock and hide adult channels from buzz tv app.
go to below link to order and follow steps.

Dear Ryu1: Thank you for your super quick reply! it appears that the correct Mac # is the one that starts off 00:1A:79....
I will act accordingly. I don't know why BUZZ put an incorrect # on the bottom of their box. In any even, I am
      appreciative. Aaron

they did not put incorrect. one is belong to your device and second belongs to iptv app.

the server needs to connect to the iptv app onboard that Buzz box.
The 00:1a:79 MAC is the iptv app's MAC
The other MAC is the device's MAC (the buzz device).

The server does not connect to the device, it connects to the onboard iptv app (which is the Buzz5 app or older versions) and so that is why there are the two MACs

Notice the difference between the two MACs, the last 6 digits are the same for both. But the first 6 are different.
The server identifies with the 00:1a:79 MAC ,,, which is the iptv app's MAC ID

So any time you see the MAC 'without' the 00:1a:79 , simply remove the first 6 digits and add the 00:1a:79 in their place and you will then have the device's iptv app MAC correct

or yea, just as Ryu has it explained too... Short and sweet

Sorry Ryu, I did not see your recent post till after posting this one.
