  • 2 Video Addons same TV?

I want to user Perfect Player for IPTV (Sony TV), live TV and IPTVXtra for VOD on same TV. Perfect Player does not show VOD. Sony TV does not shoe HD channel well.

Both Video Addons will be running at same time. Does this violate donation for a single TV?

Sorry for the rest of this Post, as it looks like I got to rambling on...
The Answer is Yes it does... depending.
Now read on if you wish..

From what I understand, you are running both on a Sony AndroidTV, within the Android os of the TV.

IPTVXtra is a Video Addon for Kodi.
    Perfect Player is NOT.

You can have more than one Android application running at a time.(the os will partition the Apps config. info & active memory info (Standby/App swapping)), enabling 2 or more apps open at a time (but only 1 is able to use the active Video Hdwr).
*you lose the memory resources used by the open apps, so you need enough to run the 2 (or more).

Therefore, you can launch Kodi, then jump to your Android Home screen and launch Perfect Player.
You can start a LiveTV channel on Perfect Player then jump to your Android Home screen and switch back to Kodi.

*** The problem with this is, you want the network connection for the LiveTV stream to disconnect when you leave PP.
    > In PP Settings, under Playback Settings - Disable "Continue Playback in Background". This will kill the connection when you switch Apps.

I cannot think of any time I have wanted Kodi running a network stream while minimized, and so I am not sure if Kodi will kill the IPTV LiveTV stream when minimized.
I do know that if you pause a VOD stream and minimize Kodi, upon return to the App, you can continue the VOD selection that was paused, indicating that the connection to the Server remains valid.

So I have effectively made a short story long, but the jist of it is, both apps can be running, but not playing simultaneously.

*Note: Perfect Player does play VOD.
It requires a separate Playlist(s), that has the VOD checkbox Enabled in the General/ Playlist 2,3 ...etc. settings.

You switch between IPTV & VOD from the Main menu Icon that looks like a rectangle with a Down Arrow.

I will soon be releasing an English Movie VOD Playlist that will have selection metadata embedded in it.

es, Perfect Player does stop streaming when "Playback Settings - Disable "Continue Playback in Background". This will kill the connection when you switch Apps." If I don't do this, the audio or Perfect Player continues when I bring Kodi up. When Kodi comes up, it loads Live TV automatically. Simple question, does the donation count when actively streaming or when connected to Playlist in PP or PVR in Kodi? For reference, tried having both apps steaming and the IPTV seemed to work without problem.

The Sony TV does have enough to run both apps without problem.

I look forward to a VOD playlist.

For those reading thing, Perfect Player is excellent, You should try it. Makes my TV or Box seem like a regular TV. My mini keyboard behaves just like a TV remote control.

Well, I don't know if the server disconnects you, or just counts the number of times it occurs for each account, but I would check your Donation Info page and look for "Ban Count". 3 Strikes ... & your Out"

I checked the "ban count" and it did not change from 3. i don't know how long it takes to get a ban. Do you get a notice when you get a ban or do you have to do a reset?

If you have 3 bans then the account is done.If you have no bans it will say 0 of 3.

If it ends up getting banned, you will know, because it will stop working and you will need to unlock it.
