When I watch a vod movie it skip frames every minute or so like it's fast fowarding.....any idea?

There may be up to 3 Accelerators. Disable them all.
(These are mainly a problem for Video (VOD)file formats(mp4 etc.), not .ts (LiveTV)transport streams).
The best method to deal with the poor video playback performance of Kodi, is to use an External Player, like MX Player, but this requires a Playercorefactory.xml settings file.
