If this was the problem, ...great.
    If not ...need more info.

Version Check Error may be because you are using 16, and Kodi is up to v17.4

Kens, 1 more thing, I noticed recently some channels picture size have "shrunk" I can't get them to full screen on TV no matter what I try , is this a known issue or something to do with my settings again ?

With the channel in question playing and the On Screen Display visible, bring up the video settings by clicking the little film reel icon (bottom right).
Scroll down to View Mode. Normally it should be set to "Normal", but sometimes the broadcast aspect ratio may be out of wack. If you change the setting, it will only be in effect while on that channel. To Save the setting as your default, click save as, at the bottom.

Thanks Kens, I have a feeling Stalker client is not very stable and I keep getting freezing issues on and off regardless of everything else, would getting a dedicated box like a T1+ be a better solution for more stable (watchebale) IPTV

A good Android STB with quad core processor and 2Gb ram min.
Use Perfect player with generic m3u with options Playlist.
Very good user experience and stable.

Can you point me to a guide how to set this up ? Perfect player with generic m3u with options Playlist

Also, I got Kodi 17.4 to run on my laptop, much better than my andoird box, way less freezing (almost none) so it makes me think my box is underpowered (it says Quad Core , 2GB Ram) or it has problems handing Stalker client properly since it's older Android and can only run Kodi 16

Go to the Android Thread /FireTV
I have a tutorial video for installing perfect player

                  ... and "exactly".
Kodi is a large, "heavy program" requiring lots of your memory and cpu resources.
Perfect Player has no extra overhead therefore it runs better on most android platforms.

Use your playlist URL generated by Papiao (donation screen).and my guide source and you will be up and running.

I've just finished testing the FireTV Stick, using Perfect Player and the NFPS m3u Playlist for accessing the IPTV service. Quite Impressed. If any users are

                          use the same tutorial.
The Video was done with Android emulator,
With a STB, you have the added benefit of your remote can control the App.
