Choose m3u with options. Here are a couple of epg sources.

Here is the recommended setup (my setup), for Perfect Player.
*The below example is for Server Portal p1, so change for your server.
**Where it says DONATION, change to your Donation#.
***Selecting XC For Playlist#1's type, will separate the VOD from the IPTV LiveTV channels, and place it in it's own section. It will also get the VOD Metadata information.
        Code:
        Playlist #1 > http://p1.iptvprivateserver.tv:80/get.php?username=DONATION&password=DONATION&type=m3u_plus&output=ts
        *(Select XC as type)

        EPG #1 > https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kens13/epg/master/guide_ks.xml
*(Select XMLTV as type and Refresh at each Update)

        EPG #2 > http://p1.iptvprivateserver.tv:80/xmltv.php?username=DONATION&password=DONATION
*(Select XMLTV as type and Refresh at each Update)

*Note: By default PP Hides the EPG data. To see the EPG. if using a mouse, at the top of the left of screen Channel list, and on the right side of the Genre (All Channels, Entertainment etc) click the small square icon (submenu). Click EPG Show EPG.
If using a remote, with channel list showing, press and hold OK until the submenu appears, then select Show EPG.
*Same procedure is required to see the VOD Additional Info, when you switch to VOD, from IPTV.
        /Shooty

          Thank you
those settings are great. That resolved most of the issues.
by switching from Mac address to playlist I thought that would resolve the slow streaming but it did not.
Even though I have fast fiber optic connection.

I find the full playlist too busy (for example I don't speak Spanish and I don't need any Kids channels) so I start by using VLC player to export the playlist and then edit in Notepad and get rid of all the channels I won't ever use. I also change the group names to something more to my liking (for example I renamed Entertainments to TV Channels and I made a new group called US Locals for network TV). Then save the playlist and use that local playlist in Perfect Player. It will load much faster each time by having fewer channels. Have your second playlist as the full remote url for those times when you do want to see everything.
