If you are certain the box has died, I have been testing several different boxes and the latest one that really impresses me a lot is the newest and latest Pendoo X6 which Amazon lists for 74.99 on their Canadian website. Its a better box than the Beelink GT King which lists at more than double the price. It comes with root and everything works smooth and now I have 3 of them. If you try one, you won't regret it but you have 30 days to return it if it isn't all you want it to be. I have an LG Oled and it pushes Full HD with UHD at 60 frames/sec setting. Absolutely amazing video.
One thing before you do, check you box and see which PLAYER it is using as it will cause a black out screen if the wrong player is being used, Try different players
they can be downloaded from Google Playstore although your box should work with MPV Player.
