  • MAC clarification and running two devices on same subscription

    Hello,
I need to clarify two simple issues:

    1. Is there a difference if you input in MAC address 78 instead of 79? I have an Zoomtak and Buzz TV boxes and both have 79 in their MAC addresses. I read a tread where was explained that 79 is reserved for Mag or AVOV boxes and for the rest of Android boxes you should use 78. Like I said, my two boxes have 79 and got them working by assigning gifts the right MAC with 79 included in their address. I got them both running in this way, just need a clarification. Could have been a difference in the overall picture, quality, etc of the reception if I would have changed 79 with 78?

    2. I understand that you are not allowed to run two or more devices on same subscription in the same time. Is it enough just to switch off one device and runn the other with same subscription or you do need to do something different? Can somebody explain this in detail please?

I appreciate a lot your help guys.

79 is used for any fixed mac address box could be Mag,Avov,T1,Buzz Box and if the Zoomtak has a fixed 79 then use it.No if it's a fixed mac address box you won't be able to use 78 anyways.Don't matter 78 and 79 will give you the same quality.

As for running 2 devices with a fixed mac address you will have to change the make every time you switch boxes. You can not run 2 devices at the same time.So to uses 2 boxes without changing the mac you would have to have 2 donations.

        Clarification... "Unless I am mistaken!!..."

You can make a Playlist from the Templates using your Don# and Portal designation p1-p5.
While your main unit is MAC based, you can shut that unit off and use the Playlist on another Device, without any Resets or changes to your server info.
(I have only done this myself with a 78 MAC#, but have shown many others with 79 and heard nothing back. I assume it would work fine)

You can also use anything that uses a M3u list. You can set up a playlist in as many devices as you want, only using one at a time and no changes need to be made at the donation checker. You can also set up stalker client in both devices using the same info without having to make any changes at the donation checker.

Now that, I thought could not be done, unless you use the same Dev ID etc.... and that would be lying! (LOL!)

I guess I will have to make another Video!
Check m3u thread for some misc instructions.
Also check the Amazon Fire TV section for instructions on using a Playlist with Perfect Player (Android)
