  • M A G 410 later this year

The M A G 410 set-top box on Android OS and with 4K video support is the next IPTV box coming from the agents.
It is the most efficient set-top box of the M A G series with quad-core processor Cortex-A53.

The M A G 410 has 2 GB of operative and 8 GB flash memory, good enough to playback and store high-quality video..It reproduces the HEVC-compressed files. This means the network load will be lower even when delivering 4K content. What’s more the M A G 410 is equipped with 3 USB inputs and in-built Wi-Fi adapter.

The M A G 410 will be available in the second quarter of 2017, at what price? That I can't tell.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that release date. Informir has a bad habit of over hyping there MAG units, and just not delivering on there promise.

Proof being that the MAG 349/350 351/352 still isnt released and has been advertised as coming soon and available for pre-order over a year now.

But the specs sounds good if they actually deliver this to the masses. Then the other half of the battle is if the server will support the middleware version because it will likely be a middleware update require for these units to function.

    Thanks for the information!

I have done so. So far no luck getting the service to fully run on the MAG 254, KODI or STBEMU on a PC.

One point I will make is that with new Smart TVs, the requirement for a set top box is removed. Software in the TV replaces the box. If I were to get a new set top box for a non smart TV, it would be also able to run KODI. Does the new MAG box support that?

No one really has an answer for this as the unit is not available. I could speculate and say yes that it it likely to support Kodi because it is an Android OS, however there is no proof that it will allow you to do that. So it's a wait and see situation, which will be a quite a while at this point. Sorry.
