  • MAG322w1 loses HDMI connection while starting application

    Hi,
I am trying to change the portal address on a friend's MAG322w1, with an expired IPTV subscription. My friend can successfully connect it to her tv and gets the expected message indicating that the subscription has expired.
When connected to my Samsung TV, the mag starts up, and after giving the message "Starting application", immediately goes to a black screen. A few seconds later, it gives the message "No Signal - Check connected device's power, cable connection and source selection".
I did a reset to default settings, tried switching between NAND1 and NAND2, started the box with the HDMI cable unplugged and then restarted with the HDMI plugged back in, tried with and without Ethernet cable plugged in, tried two other HDMI cables and ports...the results are the same. I do not have another TV readily available to try it with.
Can you please help me fix this issue.
    Thanks,
    Sue.

Thanks for responding. A reset would cause all customization to be lost. It would be a lot of trouble to get everything set back up, to try and help a friend. FYI, my Samsung tv is an old LCD, not a smart tv.

I hear you. looks like you have tried almost everything except reset of your tv and I know you may loose everything but you really have not much choice. try to adjust video settings on tv or take a box to friends house to adjust video settings on your box.
also, maybe your pc moniter might have hdmi input if you want to try that for test.

Thanks for the suggestions. The newer MAG424w3 works fine with my tv. I checked the settings between MAG322w1 and MAG424w3. They are the same. As per your suggestion, I took theMAG322w1 to my friend's place and configured it there for her. It was easy on her Samsung smart tv.
          Thanks again for your help.
