  • How to setup your MAG to access NFPS IPTV for the first time

    1. Boot into "Embedded Portal".

    2. Go to Settings

3a. Check for updates under Software autoupdate (may be required for older units to access Stalker Middleware 5+)

3b. Enter System Settings (Alternatively accessed by pressing Setup on MAG remote control)

    4a. Enter General

4b. Enter NTP Server information (this will retain your time settings)

    Code:
    pool.ntp.org
    Press OK to Save

5a. Enter Portals (By default you only have 2 Portals available, press F1 (red button) to access Multiportal Mode settings if required)

5b. Portal 1 Name: NFPS (you can name this whatever you want)

5c. Portal 1 URL: This will be based on what portal your donation has been assigned to which can be found using the Donation Checker

Use the appropriate information based on your donation.

Press OK to save your settings.

    6. Once you have verified that all the above settings are correct Reboot Device.

    7. If you have no other portals setup your device will now load into the NFPS portal automatically, but if you have more than 1 portal setup you will be prompted with another screen called Select a portal for loading. Pick the portal that is associated with NFPS information.

    8. Once loaded into the NFPS Portal (Blue background) you will be prompted for a Username/Password - This information is your Donation Number. Enter your donation number into both username and password fields, and then click on OK.

You may get an Error message in the top right hand of that box. That is ok, sometimes you need to reboot your MAG and do it again for it to accept it. Once you enter the correct information the Authorization Bar will now fill up, if it gets stuck reboot your unit (may ask you for username/password), this usually jump starts the process.

If that doesn't work be sure to check your number number with the Donation Checker to make sure you are connected to the right portal.

Example: If you're assigned to Portal 1, but are using Portal 2 settings you will get Authorization errors because your information is not associated with that Portal.

    9. If everything goes according to plan above you can now start enjoying NFPS IPTV.

Where does the NPT Server Information come from? Is that specific to me or can I use what you have posted?

It's basically a timeserver. Kinda like windows has it's own server that keeps the time updated.

If you don't want your time and dates to be messed up you use NTP settings, otherwise it will stay at default time and date somewhere in 1999.

      So it's a recommended setting.
