I thought I'd make this little note to everybody that is trying to do what I have done. I bought a MAG 524 thinking that it would work with any service.
I have several of the 254 and a few of the 322 boxes.
I'm quite happy with them and the way work, but I needed new boxes and they quit making those. So I bought a 524 thinking it would automatically work.
Unfortunately with some of the services that I have, the newer boxes won't work.
So far the only service that I see that is working with the 524 is the IPTV private server. You have to request that you want to be on the S4 or S7 portal URL or the box will not work. I kindly asked them to move my portal from S1 to S7 and they were very helpful in making that request.
My MAG524 is working flawlessly and I am very happy with my service and with my mag boxes. Everybody tells me to get the buzz box. I just tell them to buzz off...;-)
