  • Powered on MAG256 to watch TV in the living room. TV displays no signal.

Powered on to watch TV in the living room. TV displays no signal. I swapped out the MAG256 in my bedroom. That MAG256 works fine on either TV. The MAG256 that's acting up won't work on either TV. I even pressed the reset button and still get nothing. I even unplugged the box for a while. It just powers up and link lights blink but will not show the boot up process or even the logo. Please HELP! #SOS

Box: MAG256 (not even a year old)
    Internet: 300mbps
MAG speed 56.0 when it was working

Before you do a factory reset maybe try this first. Unplug the box then unplug the hdmi. Then plug the box back in without the hdmi cable and let it boot (few mins). Then unplug the box and plug the hdmi back in and try it again.

Yes, HDMI cable is working. It's brand new. I hooked it up to my other MAG256 box and it works fine

Okay, will it at least show the menu? Unplug the box and plug it back in while pointing the remote at the box while holding the menu button

WOO HOO!!! Working now! I used my other MAG256 as a guide to blindly guide the bad box to do a factory reset. Only thing now is that it's on military time (17:12) How can I change it back to show 5:12pm?

Okay here is how you do it but it might be hard to read cause it seems coded for some reason.
