    MAG256 Video and Audio problems

    Hello. I'm having an issue with video and sound quality on my MAG256. When I first start the device, I am able to see most channels without a problem but after a few minutes, the sound starts to break up. On some channels it sounds like chipmunks talking or it breaks up. Then I can't get any channels at all. I have tried to see if it was my network but I can't seem to resolve the quality issue. I get 30MBPS on the wifi so I don't believe it is a lag issue. In some cases the box won't connect to the portal when I first start the device. Any help would be great.

    If you are using wireless try to hard wire it and see how that works out.What firmware is on the box?

      I connected directly to the router and the video quality was better but I still lost sound when switching between channels. I have to turn off the box and back on to get sound working. The firmware is the latest one 2.20.03-256 Image version 220. Thank you.

        The problem is with the latest firmware i believe. I have read of a few having the same problem.If you want better video quality i would upgrade to a T1+ you will love the difference.

          Thank you for the feedback. I will consider it because I am not happy with the MAG256.

            You won't regret it it will make a huge difference.There are a few post from members that just got them and they are happy.
