  • Mag 254 Missing File

    Hello,
My Mag254 has some channels that say "File Missing" on a blue screen. I have treid:
    *Resetting portal)
    *re-inputting the server address.
    *re started, re connected machine.

most all other channels work, but movies and a couple of channels like "Antenna 3* (835) show "file missing"

    thank you

Time to update that mag. They do not have the codecs to play some of the movies. I would suggest you get a new Buzz 4500 and use the mag as a door stop. Thats if you want to keep up to date with things.

      Thank you.
It was working ok until just recently.
If I upgrade the hardware, I would just need to update the mac address & server address of the new device in the donation portal and I should be able to connect no problem right?

          Hi,
I switched devices yesterday, the first thing I encountered was that the device had two mac addresses. I used the Mac address that was displayed on the portal/server entry page (right above server ID), instead of the one found on the device "about" settings, or the one on the box that didn't make any sense

I input the server full address.
          I reset the portal online
          I rebooted the buzz 4500

at one point it seemed to want to connect, the portal address loaded said connected for a second and then it says "cannot load portal: Subscription expired or not activated, please contact your service provider" all this was last night. I contacted my service provider and my donation was reset, but the same message appears this morning

          Other things I have done:
Connected to both Wireless and Ethernet
          Software update on Buzz 4500

One thing that caught me by surprise was the user credential section, I left it blank at first, and then I tried also inputting my donation credentials as well.

            What’s the question?

Make sure your device’s MAC address that begins with 00:1A:79 and the last 6 alpha-numeric characters (sets of paired separated by semi-colon) in the device’s ID and portal URL are entered correctly in the donation checker/IPTV Reset provider’s site.

None of the MAC Addresses I have begin with 00:1A:79 they begin with C4:4E:AC etc and C0:84:7D

My question is, which MAC address should I use when I can find multiple MAC#'s on the device? should I use the credentials or not?

the URL I entered correctly, and I reset the IPTV, and the provider did as well.
