Mag 254 ?

I have a mag 254 and when on a channel say 342 and i want to change to say 350 i enter channel 350 hit ok on remote and it goes back to channel 342 it will not change channels.
So that means i have to scan through the channels 1 by 1 to go to a channel I want. Is there a setting to change this on the remote?

im assuming only reason its not changing because the category you are in does not have channel 350. for example if you are in sports section and sports section has channels 1-9 and if you type 11 it won't change. so if you go to all channels then type number you should eb able to change.

Im in the 300 channels all the movie channels so going from 342 to 350 should be ok I thought at 1 time it did work but now it does not seem to work so I have to go back to guide and 1x1 scan to the channel I want

i tried to go from 342 to 343 next channel and still will not work
