Mag 254 slow at changing channels

My Mag 254 is very slow to change channels, at times the screen will go black and in 2 to 3 + minutes I will get a picture. I have a very high speed system in my house so I know its not my provider. I connected a DreamLink T1 plus to the same cable & it works perfect. I have not updated in a couple years. I know the STB's get "tired" which could be my problem ???

Works on the T1 but slow on the mag? Obvious problem somewhere with the mag. I wouldn't update the mag. You might get blocked all together if you update and then have to load the no block file. Would be easier to get a better box.

I changed the portal I was on p.5 I changed to p.1 it is working perfectly
