Mag254 is black

This past week my msg 254w1 ...portal 3 has been down most of the time...worked fine yesterday but completely black now...im stuck at the page loading screen... internet bounces from enabled ro disabled ... no more yellow loading bar...just loops back to page loading error try again screen... I have read and it seems mag boxes are having seperate issues drom other boxes...are the mag boxes done...using ver 2.18-r22...any help would be appreciated and thnx

You can try and unplug it and do a iptv reset.Then plug it back in.But yes there seems to be reports that infomir will block copyright material.If your using wireless then i would try hard wiring to see if that fixes it.

I have Mag254, I have gone into the bios and cleared the memory.

?How to enter the BIOS setup (MAG 250 bootloader menu). Power off the STB MAG200/250. Press and hold the «menu» on the remote (or the power button on the front panel) while turning on the STB MAG200/250. ??????

Thnx guys. It is wired...wìth every reboot i loose more remote functionality(tv would pop up briefly then black screen on every chnl). .was looping at page loading screen untill completely went black.. can this box be saved or do i add it with the other paper weights. .i noticed other mag254 boxes are up...I am north of you all if that's a difference ...also i have 3mnths donation left. If i buy another box can i transfer donation ro new box...thnx

What is your ISP’s D/L speed?

btw, There is a custom firmware around for MAG boxes that will stop the blocking. You may want to try that f/w to your MAG box before you finally decide to buy a new box. The f/w though you need to find it and d/l. I do not believe it is available here. I cannot give you the link (as it’s not allowed to post link). You may want to try googling “Infomir BLOCKING portals”. There is some 7-pages of the thread. In that thread you will find the link where to D/L the “NO Block” f/w for the MAGs.

Buying a New box is probably the easiest.Many are starting to see blocking.Yes you can easily use another box just takes a few mins to set it up.You can use your donation on any box you want.The Buzz box is a good choice and just as easy as the mag to set up with lots of support.

If you do the no block you do not update you just leave it as is from here on in.

I did the factory reset ...reboot...cleared user data..rebooted ..while rebooting put in usb stick(thnx diz4me)...blue screen yellow bar proceeded...all is well... thnx guys

Glad you got your MAG going..

verify your image description: NOBLOCK_254 on the Device info
Also you will noticed red color texts at the bottom of the screen every time you will reboot your MAG

Like what Dodgeit said do not update your MAG. Turn off the Auto-Update

Hey guys..spoke too soon...it worked for a day then the same...got it back up today for 10 mins..can you put up a step by step ..I must be missing something....????????????
