Ready to reup a unused Mag254

I have an old mag254 I have used for a while and I thinking about putting it back into use. Right now its using an old firmware 2.18-r17-254. Should I update the firmware or let it stay where it is? I noticed during the free trial period, the mag no longer has the ability power on to the last channels viewed? Has something changed, it powers on to the tv category screen?

I'm using 2.18-r22-254 and it's working great for me so upgrade your software, if all else fails you can do a factory restore.

No he shouldn't contact us.I'm not sure any of us use a mag anymore to begin with.Posting where they posted works.We cant be here 24hrs a day but to the op my suggestion is if it works then why change anything?Thats way i look at things.I have a 250 that has r7 on it.It still and it worked up until i stopped using it when i got the dreamlink and buzz.
