Many times it is caused by "cut and paste" from another document that will have embedded control characters (formatting etc.).
You can use the tools available with this text editor (Top right corner).
There are three that I have used to fix this problem.
Remove formatting -(highlight text in your post then click to remove formatting)
Paste as plain text -(paste formatted text in editing window and it removes all formatting before pasting in post)
Paste from Word. -(attempts to re-format to this editor stds.)

I agree - also it is not the formatting issue at all times, there are times when I get the same error and cannot post when instead of a cut and paste I typed out the entire post and still got the same error message.
By the way when I typed the post after it failed when I did do a cut and paste it was as an entirely new thread -
Yes the root of the problem should be fixed but it might take a little of the admins time and we know how that goes

Yes any posts over a few lines I save before locally before I hit any buttons \ nothing more frustrating that making a rather long post and then having it disappear to the nether regions of the www.
I'm sure that VB has probably already resolved this problem and just a matter of the ADMIN taking the time to search their site to be able to resolve it - but he can't be bothered.
