Resolution not supported

Have an issue I cant seem to get past. Had not used my Mag 254 in a couple of weeks and when I turned it on I get this message

mode not supported

resolution not support

Change resolution of external device

I have tried pressing the menu button while starting up in order to attempt to change the resolution but cannot get anything but the above message. All help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Something else you can try is unplug the box then unplug the hdmi then plug the box back in and let it load without the video cable(few mins or so).Then unplug it hook the hdmi back up and try again.
