  • MAG 254 not turning on... No picture, nothing

I have 2 MAG 254 units. They we're working good with the WiFi antenna until all over the sudden it froze then they shut off.

I have unplugged both boxes waited 15 plus seconds plug them back on and nothing happens. The blue light stays very dim for about 35 seconds then it turns slightly brighter but nothing on the TV screen.

I have no idea what happened and don't know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All I have is a blank TV screen. Box is not even recognizing the HDMI at this point. Not sure if the boxes are both fried or what.

You could also try and unplug the box and restart it with the hdmi cable unplugged.Leave it for a few minutes so your sure the box has loaded .Then unplug the box and plug the hdmi back in and try again.

Ok. So far nothing has worked on both boxes. I tried the 3 dots with the lines (Pressing them while I unplug and plug back the units.) I get nothing on screen. The light goes on then real dim after. I dont understand how this happend since it was working fine a few days ago. Any more suggestions???

I am running it thru ethernet, etc.

              Dodgeit,

Yes, I tried it on another TV and it actually worked
I also purchased a TP-Link antenna USB adapter model TL- WN725 to try to get wireless wifi. I did all the settings correctly but its telling me wifi:disabled.
Any fix for this? Did I get the correct antenna? If so how do I fix this?

You guys are awesome... I can finally start to breathe again...

Ok. I checked the list and bought specific antennas for the MAG254.
                    Still no dice....
                    Says Wifi: Disabled

Could it be the box? I have 2 boxes and both say the same thing. I have reset the modem and router. I get nothing for WIFI....

Dont know what else to do.... Something so simple yet wont work

Do you have the network cable unplugged?

You have to select your network and put in the password for the router
