You can try this and see if this will help
Plug in the RCA cables to the box and to the TV, change the source to where you plugged the RCA cables on your TV now once you turn on the MAG you have to quickly press the Menu key to get into the bios, no switch the connection to NTSC 1080p and then go down to save and exit with the right arrow on the remote follow instructions and you should be good to go on the HDMI.

I know with Samsung TVs the MAG 254 acts weirdly. However "Mode Not Supported" is common to see on Samsung upon booting up the MAG, have never seen it do that on a channel change.
You need to access the BIOS Menu if nothing is displaying on your TV, try this - http://iptvzeta.is/forum/nfps-iptv-p...w-to-get-there
The Menu button is the Home looking button, top left near the arrows. However it acts differently in the portal, versus the embedded portal that comes with the MAG. SETUP brings you to Embedded Portal settings.

Yeah I've tried it on LCD, LED, and Smart types and for whatever reason it will display it before the portal selection page.
On the old site there was instructions on how to reset the HDMI slots on Samsung, but I didn't feel comfortable performing that, and potentially screwing up my TV lol.
I recall only seeing it with Samsung TVs, but it still works. I notice that it will take control of specific Samsung TVs by automatically turning on the MAG or switch HDMI source automatically, again not a big issue.
