  • Formuler Z8 New TV

Hello, I just bought a new LG NanoCell AI TV for Christmas, plugged in the Formuler Z8 and says no signal. I changed HDMI ports, changed cables, used a cable from a device that is working and one suggestion was to unplug power, plug back in, hold down the resolution button on my remote for 5 seconds to auto adjust resolution. None of these worked.

Anyone have any suggestions? Keep in mind that the Formuler Z8 does not show up on my tv so I cannot use a menu on it. It recognizes when I plug in the box to my tv

I'm not sure how they would help me since all my other devices work on my tv... it's just the formuler z8 and they will not provide support for that (not their product)

Have you tried to do a factory reset on the box? Then plug it into the new tv.

Maybe try another Hdmi cord. My Lg was picky to, it is a weird one. But i'm not 100% sure if it was my receiver or tv. But if i remember correctly, NBS, did you not use a Onkyo the same receiver brand?

I haven't tried a factory reset yet, was trying to avoid it... is there a way to do it that I don't need a screen or do I need to plug it back into my old tv? Yes I switched the HDMI with a device that works... I really hesitated on getting an LG tv to begin with as I have always had good luck with Samsung :-(

Can you plug the Z8 into another tv that gets a picture for you? So you can get into the menu of the Z8 on that tv and maybe check/change resolution settings there, and plug back into the new LG you got?

I will try that... I wasn't sure if there was something I needed to do but wondered if that was the reason

                      What worked for me:
A manual reset: Unplugged power, keep pushing the red button (not the record button and don't hold it down), 2. plug the power back in and keep tapping the red button until the light on the front starts flickering from green to red. 3. push the #1 button, the unit will reset and supposedly the setup screen was supposed to appear. I guess I got lucky because my unit didn't erase my settings, everything was still there and worked....

Thank you all for your help!

                      Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone! I just ordered the Formuler Z8 pro. Upgrading from a Mag 322 W1. I Had issues with my mag with it skipping in some channels and just not very reliable. Do you guys know if the formuler z8 pro works well with this IPTV service? Thanks!
