    Can you plug the Z8 into another tv that gets a picture for you? So you can get into the menu of the Z8 on that tv and maybe check/change resolution settings there, and plug back into the new LG you got?

    I haven't tried a factory reset yet, was trying to avoid it... is there a way to do it that I don't need a screen or do I need to plug it back into my old tv? Yes I switched the HDMI with a device that works... I really hesitated on getting an LG tv to begin with as I have always had good luck with Samsung :-(

    Maybe try another Hdmi cord. My Lg was picky to, it is a weird one. But i'm not 100% sure if it was my receiver or tv. But if i remember correctly, NBS, did you not use a Onkyo the same receiver brand?
