I just download v2.8.98 because my guide would take like 30 minutes to load. Well it fixed that and in the upper right hand corner you immediately see "guide loading" on boot up. Unfortunately, now most ( not all channels ie TV land) freeze every 15 seconds. It's not like it's loading the channel, it just freezes up. Any ideas? Thanks! Every thing else works OK.

Thanks for the prompt response! However I'm a little lost at this point. I do see Edit VPN profile and I'm gonna assume the server address is the IKS server address. However the ppp setup I have no clue as to why I'm doing this or which setting to use. I will try if you can give me a hint. Thanks again

you need to subscribe to vpn service. theres quite few but ipvanish, nordvpn, express vpn are pretty good. I think Nord vpn offer up to 1 month before you can cancel and get your money back if you dont like it.
lets say you subscribe Nord vpn then you install Nord vpn app on your box or setup on your router. its easy to do through their app into your box.
you open up their app on your box and enter your credentials and connect. once connected just launch iptv and check for result.
          hope this will help.

I"m confused. I thought you could get banned for using a VPN. Furthermore..This box worked fine without a VPN before the upgrade. This looks to me like a bug in their upgrade. Had my guide worked I wouldn't have done it to begin with. Before I paid for a VPN, I'd buy another box and start over. Can't I just factory reset the box and start over???

no you won't get banned and its allowed for now.
im doubt its firmware otherwise you would hear more complaints. I would try vpn first before investing on box because you can cancel vpn anytime and buy another box.

I can't see the update doing anything or there would be many complaints from others updating.

well this is the 98 version and I don't know how new it is..my unit usually updates on boot up, but I had to go into updates on the unit to find this one. This unit, with the exception of the guide has worked well for years. It's not an IPTV "loading" freeze, it's the software freezing. I'm gonna try a software and factory reset if the software reset doesn't work.

do you have third party apps installed? if yes then remove those and kill all running apps by holding menu button for few second then press red button. check for result then

Shouldn't a factory reset delete all updates..what would be wrong with that. I'd just have to enter IPtv stuff again, but that would take care of all third party apps and updates too.

software cannot be rolled back thats why you get warning before download/update. factory reset will delete everything and bring back all the values to default and you have to enter iptv info again.

Well buffers did nothing. Resolution has no effect. I ruled that out since TNT plays fine. Approximately 1/5th of channels play fine including TNT, TVland, not a hitch. Some freeze every 3 seconds, some every 10. This is a bug. Are you running this version Ryu1? Thanks

Doesn't have to be a bug.It could be your provider. That's why there was a suggestion to try a vpn.
