What are the functions of the coloured buttons? I think I saw where the yellow one locks a channel so you have to use the unlock code. How do you remove the lock on one channel so that you don't need to enter the unlock code every time you go to that channel? Thanks.

The colored buttons are used as function keys, when your using DOL they are used for different functions, when you press the info button, or in the guide you will see these colored button associated with an action.
When in the home of your Dreamlink, these keys are used as hotkeys. You can assign these in settings > system. By default the red button will auto launch DOL.
As for unlocking a channel, you need to go the channel that has a lock on it, press the yellow button, it will then likely ask you for your code, default is 0000. The channel should be unlocked going forward.
