  • "Checking Portal" takes a long time

I have noticed a change in the last week or so where my BuzzXRS4500 is taking anywhere from 7-10 minutes to connect "Checking Portal" and then another 5 minutes or so after that saying "Connecting", this happens if I reset the unit or go from LiveTV to VOD or vice versa, I did the firmware update yesterday but that did not make a difference, wondering if anyone else is experiencing this besides me and if anything can be done, I have not tried to switch portals yet but my guess is, it will not make a difference since it was fine for the last few months

Just an update, switched Portal, now I am on 4, also switched the country to "All Countries" but unfortunately the delay in getting into Live TV or VOD did not go away, still the same, not sure what happened to cause this

Well maybe restart all you're network and see if the problem persists. Because NBS is right it only takes around 20-30 seconds for a portal to load. I was only having a problem going from Vod to Live tv. Portals load quick here. Also do a speed test and let us know what it is including the Latency.

Thanks Dodgeit, I found what my issue was, I had both the Wired connection and the WiFi setup, initially I only had the wired connection but had to reset the unit every time I turned it on as I did not have no internet, I got tired of it and also setup the Wifi, this took care of the internet going away but I guess started the delay in connection.
