I have to do a hard reset every time I reopen the box to get the channels working, If I do not do it I get buffering on all the channels. Any idea Why??

you mean whenever you restart your box? are you really turning off your box or just standby? are you connected wireless or hardwire? do you have third party apps installed? do you have latest firmware installed? what you have done to trouble shoot so far? we need more info.
I would double click the home button to make sure all app are killed. I would hold power button until you see turn off option. I would switch to wired and also trouble shoot my network to make sure my router is not causing any issue. I would also remove third party apps to make sure those are not one causing issue.

Hard reset is when you put a pin in the av hole ,hold the button down and plug in the power cord
          You do that every time?
