  • Audio and video sync

Fox News 205 and Fox Business 206 keep going out of sync. Anyone know how correct this problem.

I assume you mean the video and sound. I just checked 205 and it's fine on my Buzz.

Digital Video streams encode the Audio and Video data in separate data blocks.
The receiving equipment decodes and sync's the Video data, to the Audio data.

Since Video is a much larger bandwidth than Audio, 5 seconds of audio can be encoded into 1 data block, while the 5 seconds of video may require hundreds, or thousands of data blocks.
If the decoder can't decode the video before the respective audio synchronization, or the data stream is corrupted and Video blocks are lost, occasionally there will be conditions where the Audio will get synchronized to the next chunk of video blocks, throwing the system out of whack.
This is what you are experiencing.

Sometimes the audio will get corrupt and the next audio block will load while there is old Video data still in the process.
Have you ever seen the Video go into slow motion for a second or two?

*** So to correct your problem, just reload the channel.

If it occurs a lot, you either have old equipment or require updated firmware for your device (or better yet, update your equipment)
